Cape Town's Malay Quarters

Had to go to CT to get a new passport and ID card. Since I could not use my passport  as ID to get a new passport, I showed them my US ID but that did not work , cause apparently  I was not that person, it had to be RSA ID , which I don't have. So had to go get an affadavit to say I lost my ID at the police station. With that in hand I was golden, paid my R540 and stood in several lines and got my passport and new ID documents  submitted . Was pretty  efficient from what I was expecting , so to celebrate I took Charmain to lunch  in the Malay Quarters which is a charming little area on Signal Hill . Had a toasted chicken mayonnaise samie and a coffee  milkshake which really hit the spot , cause it was a baker of a day.

The beaches.

The beaches around Cape Town are spectacular with fine white sand, very safe to swim and are well maintained. Some however have baboons that will raid you and steal whatever they can grab.

Fish Hoek Beach

Go for a swim at Fish Hoek Beach most days, a spectacular  beach with shark nets, so it's safe. Temperature  is around 19 deg. C. and very invigorating.

First weekend, hectic !

So we flew Kalispell- Seattle - WASHINGTON DC - Àmsterdam - Cape Town. KLM was amazing , food was excellent.  Next day went to Paaarl to look at a bike and bought it , BMW 800 GS 2013 with 14500km !  To celebrate rhis purchase I took Charmain for lunch and allowed anything on the menu, of which she took advantage of, of course. Left from Paarl through Malmesbury and Darling to Langebaan.Langebaan is up the West coast where my brother has a house a road back from the beach and the weather was ,spectacular.
